White Scar Caves
The longest show cave in Britain. The entrance to the caves can be seen from Fall Park, and it is possible to walk to the caves, crossing the River Doe via stone stepping stones and following a footpath across the fields.
The Settle to Carlisle Railway
The Settle to Carlisle Railway runs over the stunning Ribblehead Viaduct and between the Yorkshire Three Peaks.
The 3 Peaks
The Yorkshire Three Peaks near Ribblehead. Ingleborough, Pen-y-ghent and Whernside. Walk, run, cycle. Are you up to the Three Peaks Challenge?
Ingleborough is a dominant feature in the skyline at Falls Park, and footpaths connect the holiday park to the mountain.
Caving
Ingleton plays host to the deepest and arguably most spectacular potholes in the country. There are many companies which do tours of these potholes.
Wensleydale Creamery
Wensleydale Creamery Visitor Centre in Hawes is a unique place to visit, full of history, heritage, and heaps of Wensleydale cheese-fuelled fun.
Ingleton Climbing Wall
Ingleton Climbing Wall is a great rainy day activity.
Gisburn Forest
Gisburn Forest is a mountain bike track that is suitable for the family as well as offering Red and Black Runs for the more daring and skilled riders.
Kirkby Lonsdale
Kirkby Lonsdale is not far down the road and is a beautiful place to relax on a summer’s day or go for a walk along the riverbank.
Malham
In Malham you can marvel at the Cove and climb the waterfall at Gordale Scar. Hint, you climb the middle bit. A great day out for the family.
Skipton
Skipton is a market town within an hour’s drive of Falls Park. Skipton was crowned the most desirable area in the country by The Sunday Times’ 101 Best Places to live in Britain! This is probably down to its numerous cafes, pubs and famous castle.
Within an hour you can be deep in the heart of the Lake District or the Forest of Bowland and so Falls Park offers a gateway to other beautiful lands beyond the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
